Bodies aren't trends

How we have learnt to hate our bodies and fear food

A two-part webinar exploring the recent history of body ideals, how to start freeing yourself from chasing weight loss and feel better about the body you have

"I'm now really aware of how my life has been affected by diet culture ever since I can remember"

- workshop attendee

Most of us have never questioned the ideas we have been taught about body ideals and our beliefs about food - we have been taught to blame ourselves.

This webinar helps you finally see the bigger picture.

What you will receive...

Part One: Knowledge is power

Ever wonder how corsets, flapper girls, 80s aerobics, 90s heroin chic, and the latest wellness trends are all connected?

In part one we explore a century of messages about body ideals.

This 30 minute session dives into the last century of how society expects your body to look, and shows why understanding its history is key to breaking free. When you know where these ideas come from, you start to see how they’ve shaped your beliefs about food, body, and health, and why it’s not your fault

Part Two: The purpose of knowledge is action

Now we put our new knowledge from Part One into action in Part Two.

In this 20 minute session we bust the biggest diet myths:

- are there “good” or “bad” foods?

- do diets actually work long-term?

- can you trust your body around food?

- does your weight equal your health?

Learn practical first steps to break free from society's expectations of your body: how to spot diet culture, challenge it, and start reconnecting with your body.

What this two-part workshop will give you...

This is for you if...

- You’ve spent years feeling “not good enough” in your body

- You’re exhausted by chasing the latest body trend

- You want to break the cycle of body shame for yourself (and possibly your kids)

- You want to understand where your beliefs actually came from

- You want to stop feeling like a failure when weight loss stops working, or you gain it all back

- You want to stop blaming yourself and your body, and realise it is the system

Watch anytime, revisit as often as you need, learn without judgement.
